Meh how stupid; almost as stupid as Dunkin Donuts being labeled as the 'working mans coffee'. They run a pretty big racket and the real criminal side of it is getting American's addicted to LOTS of sugar and LOTS of heavy cream. A "regular" coffee at DnD consists of 4 heaping teaspoons of sugar!! and 1/2 a cup of heavy cream!! ...diabetes in a cup.
They also employ an enormous percentage of non US citizens. F*** Dunkin Donuts.

I thought it was a mildly amusing photo; was hardly trying to make some all-encompassing statement about the governor's real motivations. Too bad there's not a mildly-amusing icon.
Some perspective
In a 10oz DD "regulah", there's about 4 teaspoons (not heaping) of sugar.
In 10oz of regular Coke, there's a bit more than twice that.
In a 10oz DD, there's about 120 calories.
In 10 oz of Coke, 120 calories.
It's not "heavy cream" (they actually use light cream by default) and it's definitely not 1/2 cup...it's about 1/8th, but it's enough to make up in calories all of the sugar they didn't add. Cream isn't really as deadly for metabolism as sugar is because it contains proteins and fats that you need *some* of anyways.
You're also welcome to ask them to use artificial sweetener and skim milk instead of sugar and cream.
But if you look at the numbers, this country's near dependence on soft drinks like Coke, Pepsi, etc. is the REAL problem. 14 billion gallons of soft drinks (from 4 companies totaled) sold in 2008 compared to Dunkin Donuts which sold a bit more than $3 billion in beverages (and their coffee costs a tad more than $1 per 4 gallons). So, let's keep it in perspective. While you *can* get a coffee with the same calories (but slightly better nutrition) as a coke, Dunkin Donuts is hardly "addicting" Americans to "diabetes in a cup" compared to the likes of Coke, Pepsi, Nestle, Cadbury Schweppes, etc.
Nobody has a Dunkin Donuts coffee for the first time and says "Holy crap! Nobody told me sugar in my drinks would taste this good!".

It is amazing to see how much cream and sugar they put in a medium regular if you actually watch them at DD.
But did you say "cream and sugar"?
If you did, then you might have gotten TWICE the "Regular" amount.
It's harder to know these days what the person behind the counter calls everything but a "regular" means "regular amounts of cream and sugar". If you don't want cream and sugar, that's not "regular", that's "black". I have noticed a lot of places will ask you again to reconfirm (because I'm sure all of this leads to mix-ups with people not from the area).
I usually end up saying "regular", then getting asked "cream and sugar?", then saying "yes...Regular".

I have this feeling that a lot of the current DDs have fired all the illegal aliens that used to work there (about 2 years ago). These illegal aliens I should add were the best workers possible. The current people that work at the DDs I go to know are pretty much clueless. They don't remember what a "medium regular" is. Two years ago you would never have to repeat that you wanted 'cream and sugar' after you ordered a regular. I actually think theres a chart now that breaks it down. Something like a regular has 4 spoons of sugar and 4 pumps of cream, a "light" has 3 pumps and a "dark" has one pump. Ive never gotten "light" or "dark" so I don't know the specifics, but I know exactly what your saying when you have to repeat yourself after ordering a regular.
