This squirrel kind of stood out in the Public Garden today. Wonder if any local drugstores have noticed boxes of hair dye looking as if they'd been chewed.

in and around Boston today: aggressive turkeys, turtles on the tracks, and now a squirrel with a mohawk. This is city living at its best!

I saw him yesterday! He was hanging out with two ducks and a chipmunk over by the corner of charles and boylston.. they were all just eating some goodies that some asshat threw on the grass.. not a care in the world.

I saw one as I was walking through the Common, not far from the Frog Pond, right after I saw this photo tonight. It was running around with another squirrel that had a golden-ish tail ("and -- and they were married"). Or it could just be a coincidence.

A fellow in Framingham became obsessed with squirrels in his yard. He begam trapping them, and releasing them miles away. To identify them in case they came back, he'd spray paint their tails red. His next-door neighbor learned what he was doing, and he got himself a trap and a can of red spray paint. Pretty soon, George was seeing red.
