Is the photo composed of M&Ms
Is the photo composed of M&Ms? I can't remember.
M&M's
Yes that is the portrait Mat Nash did of TMM in 2004. It is done with M&M's then photographed so the actual M&M's aren't mounted on the wall. He also did a series, reinterpreting classic paintings using M&M's.
Tasty!
Cool, I'll have to take a closer look the next time I'm up there (in about 90 minutes).
Whoa!
Hahahhaha....
I know, right?

Is there a Menino Removal budget?
Is there a Menino Removal budget, like the one for snow removal? This guy's ego was bigger than him. Between all of the city signs and other property with his name on it, it will cost a small fortune. Now a mural? Interesting to see Menino's pal and now former Police Superintendent Dan Linskey exiled out to the Police Academy in Hyde Park at his civil service rank of Detective Lieutenant. Maybe Menino should have attended the inauguration after all and taken that later Jet Blue to Ft. Myers!
This is about 6-feet tall,
This is about 6-feet tall, and printed on a piece of foamboard (or something similar) if memory serves. Taking it down will involve popping it off the wall.
Agree about the other stuff, though, he got his name on EVERYTHING for the past 20 years.
What's with all the hate?
And just what the ____ have You done for the City lately, or ever?
Whats the city
going to do for me and my 1,000 copies of hooked on phonics I suddenly can't get rid of?
Menino removal pickle
Was nicely outlined in this article not too long ago:
The article also points out that two years into Rahm Emanuel's term in Chicago, Mayor Richard M. Daley still welcomes visitors on a banner at O'Hare.
New City Hall
is Best City Hall
Bad cable service reminder
Perhaps it a reminder of lousy, noncompetitive cable service complete with pixelated video. Is it still true that parts of Chinatown still only have DSL?

Hard of hearing folks, tinnitis ringing in the ears, deaf, ESL English as a Second Language folks, concussion recovery, stroke recovery folks, folks with cognitive difficulty, dyslexic, attention deficit, elderly, folks in city neighborhoods far afield of City Hall, Hyde Park folks, Mattapan folks, Orient Heights folks, folks with difficulty to tolerate hard aggravating public seats of the Council Chamber. All are sidelined for lack of access to the full plain English text Stenographic Record of the Public Meetings of Boston City Council. Resistant Council Staff and City Stenographer haven't made accessible the necessary additional dictionary file for a Public Record that's more complete than the too brief, heavily edited Minutes. The Contract provides the necessary additional dictionary file kept out of reach is City Property. Open the Public Meetings of Boston City Council !
Even City Councilors would benefit by getting their words out from the Public Meetings.
This looks so awful. I
This looks so awful. I suppose to match the hideous concrete walls. God that building is gross.
The Council Chamber seating is too hard...
The Council Chamber seating is too hard for many people to sit through Public Meetings of Boston City Council. The bad design puts people on display in a way that makes it intimidating to attend Public Meetings. The setup at Boston City Council is so restrictive and fails to make use of advances in software and technologies that would permit better Council Communications and feedback from the people via software at local branch public libraries or technologies at home.
