WBZ reports Harpoon Brewery is now making an ale with (don't worry, heavily purified) Charles River water.
Maybe this winter, JP Licks will come out with a line of snow cones made with actual Boston snow?
at least before its wort (prefermented beer). It's just a gimmick, and since it's Harpoon I'll guess that it will be mediocre, at best.
"A Newton company called Desalitech treated the river water until it was more pure than tap water."
So I guess it's just pretty much like distilled water. But I do like Harpoon. Their IPA isn't overhopped, undrinkable swill like my homebrew.
Surely someone out there can create a dish using our local, organic snow fresh from the farm.
I predict another bountiful harvest.
except it was an alternative medicine clinic on Newbury St.
...then we'll still be able to buy those snow cones on the 4th of July - just make sure they use LOTS of syrup...

Water's gotta be boiled an hour
