One East Boston block where things haven't really changed all that much

The Boston Architectural College Library does the then-and-now with Marginal and Little Pearl in East Boston (which we discussed a couple months back).

I have to say the shutters and other details on the buildings make the older image of the building much more interesting than today's snapshot..

Vinyl sided into oblivion. Cheaper and easier than dealing with all that old lead paint and rotted wood.

That building just lost its views of the Boston skyline
Condos as high as 7 stories being built on waterfront right across from that house.

That building will never lose its views of the Boston skyline unless Massport decides to build luxury buildings on what is currently Piers Park.
