Guy was walking around Downtown Crossing with a loaded gun and a cornucopia of drugs, police say

Boston Police report arresting Joshua Eloi at Washington and Summer streets Wednesday afternoon before he could use what they say was his loaded, stolen gun or deal any of the variety of narcotics and other drugs he was carrying.

Police say they'd already had their eye on Eloi, 42, when they spotted him downtown around 3:05 p.m.

During their encounter with Eloi, officers recovered one loaded Rossi Interarms .357 magnum revolver reported stolen out of Birmingham, AL, as well as a large amount of oxycodone, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and US currency from his person.

Eloi was charged with a variety of gun and drug charges, as well as resisting arrest, police say.
