Police respond to couple's argument in South Boston, say they find pot, a gun and ammo
Boston Police report officers responding to a 911 call about a loud argument at 453 Old Colony Ave. Wednesday evening found a man and a woman - and lots of pot, stuff to package it and cash.
Upon arrival officers heard a commotion inside an apartment. The officers knocked and announced their presence and heard more shuffling, but no one replied. A few moments later, the door was opened by two occupants, and officers performed a protective sweep of the residence for possible victims and suspects. While doing so, officers observed varying amounts of marijuana, packaging, paraphernalia consistent with the illegal sale of drugs, and large amounts of cash in plain view.
Police charged Jessica Lizine, 28, of South Boston, and Quran Sinkler, formerly of South Boston and currently of Greensboro, NC, with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Police "froze" the apartment until they returned shortly before midnight with a warrant, at which point they say they found a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber gun with an obliterated serial number, 164 rounds of ammunition, about 21 small plastic bags filled with marijuana, scales and other sales paraphernalia and more than $1,000 in currency.
Police then added charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number to the charges against the couple.
Innocent, etc.

Attention gun grabbers
You really want to get (expletive) done, go petition to make selling weed not a crime at all for anybody, because the punishment for doing it is getting locked in a cage, so people who commit the victimless crime of selling it will shoot other people in defense, because they have the cash on them because they're afraid of forfeiting it if they deposit it in a bank.
The gun violence in the drug trade (and a lot of people like drugs, so that's a (expletive)ton of guns) is done tomorrow if you legalize drugs. But hey, our officials have only had a century to fix their mistake. Elect them again in November!
Simple solutions to complex problems
Very little (if any) of your assertions comport to fact.
Whether you are in favor or oppose the legalization of marijuana, studies of the very issue of the linkage between the legalization of marijuana & crime rates is tenuous, at best.
Take, for example, the Cato Institute, multi-year, research report (2016) on this very topic - your assertions are simple not supported. The research did not take a position on the pros or cons of legalization - it dealt in measurable data basically concluding the legal sale of weed has not altered the crime landscape on any appreciable way (plus or minus).
If you are going to opine on a subject, seems to me, you ought to understand the subject instead of just expressing feelings and making shit up to fit your ill-informed, quasi-libertarian narrative.
Overall crime
Or gun crime?
Also, the legal sale of weed in MA is limited to a handful of stores right now. Of course crime hasn't significantly decreased. I would have to defer to a weed gourmand as to whether or not what the stores sell is any better or worse than what they get from the black market.
Funny thing about studies, there's one for every argument.
In a paper published by The Economic Journal last month, a study by the Norwegian School of Economics in partnership with the Pennsylvania State University Department of Sociology and Criminology, found that marijuana legalization has led to a decrease in violent crime in U.S. states that border Mexico.

Also in his second paragraph, the above commenter suggested legalizing drugs (inclusive). Marajuana is not the drug that people are shooting each other in turf wars. One thing is for sure, this war on drugs costs billions and fixes nothing. I, for one, am sick of spending the money.
I'll refrain, unlike yourself, from concluding by calling you names.
Excellent Point
That's why scientists who aggregate research for policy look to the "body of evidence" and what ALL the studies together seem to be saying - not just one study.
Meta-analysis and its kindred evidence assessment tools are all geared toward looking at the spectrum, not the studies they like.
Oh NO!
