Nothing's going to torpedo this Roxbury building project
By adamg on Mon, 08/12/2019 - 6:07pm
A roving UHub photographer spotted this seemingly bizarre scene this morning at the old granite shop at Warren and Clifford streets in Roxbury, where Cruz Development Corp. is putting up a two-building complex with 95 housing units, 102 parking spaces and more than 11,000 square feet of commercial space - some of which it will use for its new headquarters. The photographer didn't spot any police officers or firefighters, so we're going to assume the object was perfectly inert.

People bought them and used them as an eye-catching novelty for advertising -- I've seen them atop signs, atop hot-dog stands, atop army-navy stores -- and as decorations; I've seen them in people's yards.
Used as auto bodies too
They were used for hot rod builds.

Uh oh! Someone found one of the TLF's buried caches.

Real Bostonians know gentrification when they see it @RalphM. This was just surplus cleanup.
Have you been here long enough to see Boston change through the decades? It's not always about money.
