the full unedited version of Herb Morrison's recording of the Hindenburg disaster. Yes, it was actually a recording, and NOT a live broadcast as many have claimed over the years, that was intended to be used two days later on a local show in Chicago. Up until the point that the airship explodes, it's actually very dull and you can tell that Morrison is doing his best to make it sound interesting.
The WKRP writers captured that aspect of the account so perfectly in Les's broadcast.
