The best seat in the house

Somebody brought a chair down to the banks of the Charles River in Millennium Park in West Roxbury and then left it there.
I used it this afternoon to watch a great blue heron on the Dedham side of the river - wanted to be ready should it just stop standing there and fly. It finally did - all of 20 feet upriver, where it then proceeded to just stand there again.
The chair also afforded a good view of water lilies on the West Roxbury side, although to be honest, to get the best views of them, you really needed to stand up:

A modest proposal
When people who feel the strong need to attend community meetings, only to burn everyone's time with excessively long rambling statements about how long they've lived in the neighborhood, as if that's actually relevant, as if there is some kind of extra weight owed to longer time residents - those people should have to talk to this chair, Clint Eastwood style and stop wasting our collective time.
Not sure why the rant when the chair is just cool.

When people who feel the strong need to attend community meetings, only to burn everyone's time with excessively long rambling statements about how much they love Boston, knowing full well that they will leave in a few years to go to the burbs cause their kid is school age, [about 25% churn every 4 years] as if their opinion is actually relevant, as if there is some kind of extra weight owed to people who just discovered their neighborhood as opposed to longer time residents who have been here when things weren't so good - those "tourist" people should have to talk to this chair, Clint Eastwood style and stop wasting our collective time.
Maybe relax, spend some time contemplating a heron whilst enjoying a random chair.
Chairs in the wild
A few years ago, there were lawn chairs placed on various elevations overlooking Rte 3 in Bedford, Billerica, and Chelmsford. One chair, or two or three, not near any buildings, but in the woods. Never saw anyone using them, and they're gone now. Did such installations appear along other highways?
Bedford chairs
I briefly sat in one of the Adirondack chairs overlooking Route 3 in Bedford. They were accessible from the mountain biking trails in the Burlington Landlocked Forest. There are houses pretty close to where the chairs were (right near the Route 62 exit), so I assume it was one of the homeowners there who put them up.

None of the ones I saw were Adirondacks; they were a motley assortment of tired-looking folding lawn chairs. At least some were not near residential areas, near as I could tell.

Bobcats
During the summer, bobcats have begun to migrate into an area from Millennium out to Needham via the commuter rail tracks and the Charles River. They are not dangerous unless you are a squirrel but it is startling to see one for the first time. Garfield on steroids.
