Porter Square Books of Cambridge today confirmed a report by the Fort Pointer that it will be opening its Boston edition at 50 Liberty Dr. on Fan Pier tomorrow.
The book store is part of new quarters for Grub Street.

How in the world can a small local non-chain book store pay for commercial space in a building where a parking spot, let alone a condo, costs more than the GDP of a medium-sized nation?

Part of the conditions on allowing construction right on the water was an agreement to help pay for a cultural center, which in this case meant Grub Street (which does writing programs) and a bookstore.
