Unmasked man sought as racist attacker on the Red Line; police say he threw glass bottle at woman and baby
By adamg on Mon, 11/08/2021 - 11:26am
Transit Police report they are looking for a guy who hurled racial slurs at a woman and her one-year-old child on a Red Line train between Kendall and Park Street - and when that wasn't enough, threw a glass bottle at them.
Happened shortly before 11 a.m. on Nov. 5, police say.
If the alleged asshole looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous tip to 873873.
When found, he will face a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon as well as civil-rights charges, police say.

Hate rides the Red Line
There is a lot of hate riding the rails these days. When haters ride they have to be arrested and judges must hold them with no bail until they go to trial.
Please study bail
Please study the legal principles that govern bail.
Why do presumed white supremacists always
look like they were spawned in some fetid, stagnant backwater of the gene pool?
an observation
Not all people who ignore the T's mask rule are violent shitbags, but all violent shitbags on the T also ignore the mask rule
Further observation
As a daily T rider I have also observed that not all people who ignore the mask rule are addicts and/or mentally ill but all, and I mean ALL addicts and/or mentally ill ignore the mask rule. Or are so far gone they don't know of it's existence. This group has a very large presence on the trains and especially in stations, such as North Station and Bowdoin where they have set up housekeeping. And it's why I have to sadly chuckle when anyone suggests that the T enforce the mask rule. Exactly how do you tell this at-risk population to wear a mask and keep it on?
Based on present evidence,
Based on present evidence, suspect asshole may have recently visited a CVS near the Red line probably behind the direction of the train.
Yes.
I'm going to guess the one at Central and would be showing pictures there.
Did the bottle hit the victims?
And if not, did it shatter? I'm reminded of Die Hard:
NOW I HAVE A GLASS BOTTLE
HO HO HO
Will
No. We're not making jokes about this one.
You're right
We're not. I'm sincere in my wish to see a hate victim fight back with force.
Freedom from hate...
...should not depend on victims' ability to "fight back with force", particularly when they have a child in tow.
You're right
It shouldn't.
