Hyde Park man goes into town, robs a bank, gets arrested before he can hop on a train back home, police say

Boston Police report arresting a Hyde Park man on charges he held up the Santander Bank branch on the Huntington Avenue side of the Prudential Center around 12:15 p.m. on Monday.

Police say Andrade Jamall, 38, passed a note to a teller, then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Not long after, Transit Police officers noticed a guy matching the suspect's description at the Back Bay train station and held him for BPD and the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force. Witnesses identified him and officers recovered "cash and other evidence related to the investigation from both the suspect and the surrounding area," police. Also found on him: A small bag of heroin, police say.

Jamall was charged with unarmed bank robbery and possession of Class A drugs, police say.

Innocent, etc.

Great job by the Transit Officer who noticed that the bank robber was covered with red dye which gave him away as a bank robber.
