Boston Police report a man was shot at 16 Kensington St. in Roxbury around 11:20 p.m. on Thursday. Live Boston reports he was shot in the head and back. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police identified the victim as Idelfonso Velez, 22.

I honestly can’t tell. I know a lot of people say that, but it certainly feels the opposite. Also, what’s up with all these kids having guns. I know statistic is way up historically.

37 homicides with 2 weeks to go in the year is a lot less than we were seeing in the 1980s and 1990s, though that's no consolation to the family and friends of those 37 people.

Sounds like an assassination not a random shooting. Whoever did this made sure Idelfonso was dead.
