A fed-up citizen files a 311 complaint about unleashed curs in the Public Garden:
Boston Public Garden needs dog catcher or law enforcement to enforce leash policy around 8am on Friday mornings and possibly on other days as well. Reason: Two weeks in a row, problems at that time with multiple dogs. Today involved 3 dead animals from this morning due to dog bites. (To be blunt/very clear, parasite locations revealed wound patterns in dog bite pattern.). Lots of ducklings, baby rabbits, baby squirrels. Lets protect them and the wildlife rehabilitators who selflessly volunteer money and time to help them! I disposed of them as a favor.

CSI Karen identifies dog bite patterns by examining parasite locations but doesn't post pics and independently disposes of the corpses instead of reporting those to be picked up by animal control.
I know people do have dogs off leash around there but...
Pics or it didn't happen.
Animals are dying here...

Are they? I mean this post really sounds like someone fabricating the whole thing just to get the attention of the city.
I think that parasite was a mistype.

I wouldn't assume that it is fabricated. Last winter was mild and while I don't spend much time in this part of the Common, but the city is teeming with baby animals. Dorchester has tons of baby rabbits. It is a very upsetting thing to witness but the Common cannot support all those rabbits, squirrels and ducks. This is bad place to raise wild things and they are being born there because the all the other sites are taken. It is not healthy for a dog to catch and kill a wild animal as they are exposed to disease. Those city dogs are not effective hunters. This is really a symptom of over population. I mean an adult mallard can beat the stuffing out your average city dog. These babies may already be sick, if the dogs can catch them.

are biting children at Medal of Honor Park but Wu refuses to do anything about it. If they were biting bike riders it would be a different story.

The dogs in this isolated location in Boston must be stopped! Lyin Biden didn’t do anything either! You mad about that too bro? Anyone else? Ronald McD? Ronald Regan? Regan MacNeil? Santa Claws?
Be cool. Just call 311 like we all do.
(actually i use the app because i’m not a boomer and would rather get bit by a dog at this lil park than pick up a telephone)
Take that to Twitter...

Trumptard. Because there your racist hate speech against a fair and square elected official would be protected (due to Elon refusing to take any action on obvious violations by the Trumptards).

but if not, you're not helping the mayor by labeling criticism of city conditions under her administration as "racist hate speech."

They're more prevalent nowadays.
I don't know that they've been sighted in the Public Garden but they certainly have in the city's neighborhoods.

I used to walk my kid to school by the part of the common that’s been claimed by the dog owners and there’s a number of large dogs that have zero training and an inverse amount of aggression that’s going to get a kid bitten one day if it hasn’t already happened.
Our child has grandparents and friends with dogs that they love being around but we don’t walk that route through the common anymore.

Back in the 60s, Boston was a relatively lifeless moonscape. Squirrels, yes. Rats, of course, downtown, waterfronts and a few other places.
Pigeons, sparrows, and the occasional bluejay. Once in awhile a barn owl sighting.
Now, rabbits, possums, raccoons, cardinals, chickadees, falcons, occasional coyotes. The turkeys!
Don't know what made the difference - end of DDT, lead in gasoline, the burning of coal? Catalytic converters? all of the above?
Don't say environmental regulation doesn't make a difference.
