Engineering News-Record takes a spin through the Sumner Tunnel project, now running 24 hours a day and including 783 pre-cast arches, weighing six tons apiece and brought down into the tunnel one at a time.

Not sure most people are aware of this part:
"Meanwhile, the next phase of the project—stripping down and replacing roadway in the tunnel—will take place during a two-month shutdown next summer."
Yikes.
It's literally been on every
It's literally been on every press release and in almost every news story for the last three months - what was originally going to be a four-month shutdown this year was split up into two months this summer and two months next summer.
Must be just me.

My grandmother had a panic
My grandmother had a panic attack in that tunnel in 1958 or so. She was driving a car full of kids (my Dad was one of them) through the tunnel and stopped. She could not go further. A truck driver, whose truck was behind her, had to get out of the truck and drive the car out of the tunnel. Then walk back to his truck,
Imagine the traffic!!!!!
