Man arrested at Logan Airport in connection with a shooting at Mildred Hailey in Jamaica Plain last month
Boston Police report arresting a Jamaica Plain man this morning on charges he had something to do with a shooting on the Centre Street side of the Mildred Hailey Apartments around 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 6.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and survived.
Police say gang-unit officers, with help from State Police, arrested Jonathon Lopez, 24, around 10:30 a.m. today. Police did not say if he was coming or going at the airport.
Lopez was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. However, he was not charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, which might indicate somebody else could be charged with the actual shooting.
This is not Lopez's first brush with the law. In 2015, Transit Police arrested him after he posted video of himself "surfing" on the top of an Orange Line car.
Innocent, etc.
