By adamg on Mon, 04/04/2016 - 5:03pm
Jeremy Selwyn, one of the region's foremost potato-chip experts, reports fans of Wise potato chips could get pretty fried when they go to a Red Sox game this year: The Sox have switched their official potato chips from Wise to Lay's.

Wachusett Potato Chips are very nice!
They don't pay
Pretty sure the Sox select vendors based on the discount the sox are provided, not the quality or desirably of the goods.
If Cape Cod wants to sell at $0.25/bag wholesale so the Sox can charge $3.00 retail maybe then they'll get the contract.
$3.00?
Who are you kidding? They'd be $5.00 "premium" chips.
fans of Wise potato chips
fans of Wise potato chips
I had no idea there were any fans.
A smart (but not wise) friend loves potato chips... Except for Wise.
You want local? Bring back Hunt's!
Go with the original
Also local: Tri-Sum Chips
Raybeez would be bummed
FWIW, Adam
I believe Jeremy Selwyn is the world's foremost authority of potato chips considering—I believe—that he's made pretty much a full-time job out of it.
Oh, I know
I used to work with the Secretary of Snacks.
Wise was in Wellington Circle
When I was young, school groups would go over to Wellington Circle and get a tour and they gave you a little bag of chips. Ditching them for Lays is so wrong!
