The crew of a fishing boat about 40 miles off the coast found a body that was "wrapped and in a state of decomposition" when it pulled up its nets Friday morning, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. State Police and the Coast Guard met the boat at the dock; the body was taken to the state medical examiner's office on Harrison Avenue for an autopsy.

WFXT reports the pilot, facing a charge of "sexual exploitation of a minor for service" in North Carolina, was sitting in a car at the Wonderland Blue Line stop this morning when state troopers approached and he pulled out a gun and killed himself. The pilot was arrested at Logan on Feb. 20 and released on bail at East Boston court the next day on condition he travel to North Carolina, which he then didn't.

GBH has a good (if also sad and infuriating) story about ICE officers nosing around East Boston stores and businesses, asking questions they have no right to ask and even trying doors when they think no one is looking. Thing is, they keep running into people who know their rights, like they don't have to answer questions posed by people without warrants - and they have security cameras, so they see you trying those doors.
The National Transportation Safety Board reports its initial analysis of a trolley-smashing crash at the East Somerville Green Line stop last month is that the driver of train in service came into the station way too fast, especially given that there was a stopped, out-of-service trolley sitting at the station.
