People to gather at Tynan School to support kids and staff; custodian says graffiti might have been aimed at him

Community members are planning a show of support for kids and teachers at the Tynan Elementary School at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow, following yesterday's spraying of racist graffiti on the school's exterior.

Organizers say it's not a protest, but a chance to give the students and staff high fives and smiles, to show there are people who support them.

Meanwhile, WHDH reports that some of the graffiti sprayed on the Tynan School in South Boston early yesterday included the year, make and model of the custodian's car.

From the WHDH report: “It was on every door, ‘we’re gonna get you,’ ‘we’re gonna kill you’ and loading dock had ‘whitey forever,’ ‘winter hill gang,’ ‘south gangs,’ ‘keep south white,’” he recalled.

All schools should have 24/7/365 security cams, motion detectors. It would be interesting for at least one of the perps from the multiple graffiti hate crime stories was caught.

Let's hold back on the torches and pitchforks until an investigation has been done.
