Never gets old!
I remember seeing this episode when it first aired, at once both completely cracked up AND appalled, the best kind of feeling in humor.
Several years after I first saw"Turkeys Away", I heard
the full unedited version of Herb Morrison's recording of the Hindenburg disaster. Yes, it was actually a recording, and NOT a live broadcast as many have claimed over the years, that was intended to be used two days later on a local show in Chicago. Up until the point that the airship explodes, it's actually very dull and you can tell that Morrison is doing his best to make it sound interesting.
The WKRP writers captured that aspect of the account so perfectly in Les's broadcast.
But the turkeys in Boston can fly
... as you can clearly see in the video.
