Boston Police responded to Howland Street between Elm Hill and Humboldt avenues on reports of gunfire around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Witnesses described two men on a scooter shooting at a white car - whose driver sped off. Police found a parked car with fresh gunshot damage, but no injured people.
Boston Latin Academy, a few blocks away from the scene, but near the path the scooter driver may have taken up towards Nubian Square, was briefly placed in "safe mode" - students and staff went about their day, but doors were locked and nobody was allowed in or out.

The email went out to parents but the school said it was a mistake. Then about 10 minutes later really went on safe mode when the safety department came up and said what is going on, yes you are in safe mode, don't let the kids out for dismissal. Such a mess.
Everything's fine

Don't bully Boston. No plates on the scooter. Like the gang of scooters at Price Rite in Fields Corner in the lot. Makes me want to shop there. Our Irish Coffee is strong and so are the shooters on unregistered scooters....

Are you really afraid of those guys???
Compare Boston to any other big city in the country - we have waaaaayyyyyy fewer shootings.
St. Louis, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New Orleans, Phoenix, Dallas, Indianapolis, Tulsa, Chicago, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Atlanta, and on and on.
Not even close.

They did not handle it well. We were put in safe mode for 2 minutes and then 1 minute before dismissal we were put back for 20 minutes causing all the buses to leave.
