If you don't mind a 12 minute train ride on the Needham line from Back Bay - Threads in Rozzie Square across from the Roslindale Village train station. Cheryl has done a lot of work for both my wife and myself. She keeps hours on Saturday morning too.
Probably more reasonably priced than the downtown shops but it'll cost you a few bucks to get there and back.

saw online for a tailor on newbury st. spend $20 for a $40 value or $45 for $90 value...guess every lil thing helps
