This is great, Boston should
This is great, Boston should convert all the water taxis to electric (plug in/solar hybrid) like this so our hard work cleaning the harbor and air in Boston stays that way.
hmmm
Aren't sailboats technically solar powered? :-)
The wind is free...
The wind is free, if you just leave it be.
Use it for thrust? A fortune's a must.
So are diesel boats
If you think about it, diesel boats are ultimately solar powered too, albeit by sunshine that fell on the earth a long, long, time ago. Nuclear is probably the only energy source we've got that isn't ultimately solar.
Well technically...
The uranium used in nuclear reactors came from supernovas. So, technically a solar energy. :P
All heavy elements, including
All heavy elements, including the radioactive ones, were created in supernovas, so while they may not be from our sun they are from a star somewhere. Kinda stretching "solar power" a bit though...
