Sanchez is a powerful

Sanchez is a powerful legislator. It’d be nice if he used some of that power to do anything for his district. Guy is never seen or heard in Roslindale until it’s election time. He’s good on the issues but doesn’t seem to want to put in the work.
That's one odd district

Roslindale is connected to JP in the district only through the Arboretum. I mean, there's a forest dividing the district in two. I had to look this up, if only because when I think of people from JP representing Roslindale, I always think of Malia, who is the state rep for the people who live across the street from me.
It should be an interesting race, but the power of incumbency is what it is.
Sanchez is a grandstanding

Sanchez is a grandstanding clown that always shows up late to meetings, makes a lot of noise or sows chaos and then leaves without any serious consideration or suggestion of viable solutions. It's sad that his only competition is someone running to the left of him that will double down on theatrics without any follow through of substance. A strong centrist candidate is what his district desperately needs and won't get because drama sells.

The social policy positions are to be expected for JP, sure, but
her proposal about letting statehouse committees elect their own chairs in an attempt to uncrown deleos unchecked kinghood is some pretty brass-tacks logistical maneuvering. I'd vote for her on that alone

We live in the wild wild west

We live in the wild wild west of new political times. Not too long ago it would have been unthinkable for someone working for the State Senator in the same party as the incumbent State Representative would run against the State Rep. OR down the street where we have a gay candidate vs gay candidate showdown for State Representative. Not to mention Capuano VS Pressley.
