The bridges of the river roads (and Dorchester) put a few more notches in their support beams this year as truck drivers continued to either drive into them or had to make an ignominious reverse drive of shame after narrowly avoiding a haircut caused by not paying attention to those "CARS ONLY" signs:

A friend of mine does safety training for DOT trucking certifications. She's now dropped a couple of these bridge crash pics into her slide deck (not just Boston - but that Raleigh Durham trestle and other cities have issues too). She uses them to teach about not using a car gps or google to navigate in urban areas and paying attention to height restrictions when approaching overhead structures.

She's on the west coast and had little idea this happened so often until she looked into it.
