The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 248 C St., at Athens St. for a roof fire around 8:30 p.m.
The department estimates damage at $50,000. There were no injuries.

I would be shocked if three families were actually displaced. It more likely that 3 roommates on the first floor and 4 roommates each on the 2nd and 3rd floors, were displaced.

Actually, all of us are owners with families and were displaced. Not all of Southie are college renters Champ.
