Green Line problems no longer above the trains, now it's the tracks that are causing pains
The MBTA reports delays on the C and D branches of the Green Line due to "a track problem at Kenmore," bad enough to require bustitution between Kenmore and Fenway on the D Line and St. Mary's on the C Line.
The T did not further specify the nature of the problem, but those lines have been in service for decades, so chances are good it's not because a private contractor somehow messed up track specs that date to before the Civil War and installed tracks with the rails too close together, unlike on the northern end of the line.
Not to be left out,, the E Line also had delays tonight, but due to a trolley that decided it liked staying put at Heath Street.
