Man was hanging out at Mass and Cass with a loaded gun and crack, police say

Boston Police report arresting a man they say was packing both a gun loaded with ten bullets and "five plastic bags of what they believed to be crack cocaine" outside 941 Massachusetts Ave. shortly before 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say Alajandro Rodriguez, 18, was one of five men officers on patrol spotted hanging out in an area with "No Trespassing" signs.

As officers exited their cruiser, the group began to disperse. Officers observed one individual to be limping from the area. Officers attempted to stop the suspect, who bladed his body away from officers.

Officers requested the suspect to remove his hands from his pockets, which he refused. After multiple requests, the suspect finally made his hands visible. Officers conducted a pat frisk of the suspect, and recovered a firearm from his waistband.

He was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, illegal possession of a large-capacity feeding device, possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute and trespassing, police say.

Innocent, etc.
