Great blue heron in Jamaica Pond

See it larger.

This heron would spend a few minutes today at one spot at Jamaica Pond (spotted here along the Perkins Street side), then flit off to another.

He was a good model, he kept slowly walking around and struck a variety of poses for me and other folks photographing him before he'd fly off to another location and a new audience.

There are turtles, lots of turtles, that have been moved for a dredging project.

Those turtles are at the Arboretum, but, yes, there are also plenty of turtles in Jamaica Pond.
